How we select and verify installers

Matching network

Before an installer receives homeowner requests through our matching service, we screen for:

• An active contractor's license and insurance in the states they serve.
• A minimum review score and review count across public platforms.
• A written workmanship warranty of at least 10 years.
• No pattern of unresolved licensing-board complaints.
• Sales practices — companies with repeated high-pressure or bait-and-switch complaints are removed.

Vetting reduces risk; it is not a guarantee. Always confirm the license, insurance and warranty in writing, and get more than one quote.

Directory listings

The installer directory is separate. It starts from publicly available information — company name, headquarters, founding year, website and a neutral description. We deliberately show ratings, reviews, certifications and license numbers as not yet verified until we've checked them against primary sources. We do not publish stock photos as a company's project work, and we do not invent missing data.

Corrections

If a listing is wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix or remove it.
