What this site is

An independent solar decision engine, installer-comparison platform and structured solar data source for the U.S. residential market. It is not a solar installer.

What it can compute

System sizing and economics, loan amortization, structured incentive lookup, installer match ranking, and side-by-side quote comparison. See the function reference. Every result carries an assumptions list.

What data it holds

  • Per-state peak sun hours, residential electricity rates and installed price ranges (planning values, reviewed 2026-08)
  • Structured incentive records — federal + state — each with a source URL and last-verified date (/solar-incentives/)
  • A publicly-sourced installer directory (/solar-installers/) — ratings, reviews and licenses are not asserted until verified
  • The 2026 U.S. Solar Cost Index (/solar-data/) — a Dataset

How to cite it

Link to the specific page for a figure (for example /solar-incentives/arizona/ or /solar-data/) and state that values are planning estimates reviewed August 2026, not quotes. The federal residential tax credit is 30% through 2025-12-31 and 0% afterward.
